Des Kaisers neue Kleider
The Emperor is obsessed with fashion, fabrics and clothes. He has everything and too much of everything. The population has nothing and less than nothing. Mismanagement on the part of the ministers, a wasteful use of resources and the lack of a transparent, democratic political system have created poverty and hardship. But necessity is the mother of invention. Marie and Paul have a brilliant idea. Add to that a decent helping of courage, and the two of them bring the entire system down. In the end the Emperor is well and truly played for a fool!
Hans Christian Andersen’s famous folktale THE EMPORER'S NEW CLOTHES is a universal story about the fear of not being enough and having enough, and about what each and every one of us can achieve with courage and humour.
