Monster
Duck, a 15-year-old girl, has great dreams and big problems. Her father used to be a passionate biker, but now has multiple sclerosis. Ever since Duck’s mother died in a motorbike accident, they have been living precariously, in a state of neglect. So: not much to laugh about? Quite the contrary. Author David Greig, born in Edinburgh in 1969, presents a funny, uplifting comedy (not only) for young people. About a girl who will do anything to stay with her father, and to free Lawrence, the love of her life, from his gay image, and about how useful a large cupboard is when tidying up a completely grubby flat.
