Elisa Plüss
Elisa Plüss, born in Zurich in 1989, studied drama at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. In 2010/11 she completed a year of practical acting experience at the Burgtheater, performing in THE COMMUNE by Mogens Rukov and Thomas Vinterberg. In 2012 she was in Martin Kušej’s production of THE BITTER TEARS OF PETRA von Kant by Rainer Werner Fassbinder at the Munich Residenztheater, and in 2014 she celebrated her debut at Salzburg Festival in Ödön von Horváth’s play DON JUAN COMES BACK FROM THE WAR, directed by Andreas Kriegenburg. From 2015 to 2019 Elisa Plüss was a permanent member of the Schauspielhaus in Zurich and also received a scholarship from the Migros Culture Percentage. In 2015 she again guested at Salzburg Festival, this time in Shakespeare’s THE COMEDY OF ERRORS. In the 2019/20 season, her engagements included a guest appearance at the Volksbühne in Berlin, where she performed in LEGENDE, directed by Stefan Pucher. In addition, Elisa Plüss has regularly worked with Christoph Marthaler (Schauspielhaus Zurich, Kampnagel, Ruhrtriennale). She has been a member of the Burgtheater ensemble since December 2021.
