Franz Pätzold, born 1989 in Dresden, trained at the University of Music and Theatre Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Leipzig and already performed at the Neues Theater Halle during his studies. In 2018, he was awarded the Kurt Meisel Prize for his outstanding performances at the Residenztheater Munich. In addition to his stage work, Franz Pätzold has also been involved in various film productions. In the 2019/20 season, he became a member of the ensemble at the Burgtheater where he stayed until the season 2022/23. In 2020 he won the Nestroy Theatre Award for Best Actor.
