Caroline Peters
Caroline Peters, born in Germany in 1971, trained at the University for Music and Theatre in Saarbrücken. During the last year of her studies, Peters was engaged at the Berlin Schaubühne, which was under the directorship of Andrea Breth at the time. She then had engagements at many German-language theatres in Hamburg, Cologne and Zurich, at the Berlin Volksbühne and at Vienna’s Burgtheater, where she was a permanent ensemble member from 2004 to 2023. Caroline Peters has also appeared in numerous film and TV productions and has received a number of awards, including the Adolf Grimme Award (2007), the Ulrich Wildgruber Award (2012) and the Bavarian Television Award (2013). In 2016 she received the German Actors’ Award as Best Female Actor in a Comedic Role, and in 2018 as well as 2020 she won the Nestroy Theatre Award. In 2016 and 2018 the specialist magazine Theater heute named her Female Actor of the Year.
