Martin Reinke
Martin Reinke, born in Hamburg in 1956, studied mathematics, philosophy and drama. His acting debut was at the Theater im Zimmer in Hamburg in 1976. He became a permanent ensemble member in Cologne in 1990 and joined the Burgtheater in 2006. Furthermore, he has made guest appearances in Berlin, Bochum, Hamburg, Bad Hersfeld, Lyon, Paris, Salzburg, Spoleto and Tokyo. In 2002 he was distinguished as the best actor of North Rhine-Westphalia, in 2007 he received the Bad Hersfeld award, and in 2005 and 2012 the PRIX EUROPA for Best European Radio Drama. He received the Nestroy Theatre Award in 2016 in the Best Supporting Role category for his portrayal of six characters in Die Wiedervereinigung der beiden Koreas (The Reunification of the two Koreas) at the Akademietheater.
